SOCIALLY DISTANT IDEAS FOR THE 2020 HOLIDAY SEASON

​New York, our country and world have been faced with a year that has been no picnic.  Vacations, weddings & gatherings or all kinds have been paused for what seems like forever!  As the 2020 Holiday season approaches we wanted to share some fun socially distant ideas that you and your family can all participate in.  Make it more fun and facetime your friends, family and loved ones and share the joy virtually! 

• Decorate your Front Door! Come up with some holiday cheer and "go for it" on your front door!  More ideas can be found here on Pinterest
• Take a drive around to see the holiday lights.
• Festive Game Night.  Whether you choose a board or card game, spice it up with some holiday drinks.  Here are some ideas for adults and kids.
• Put on a family talent show-and stream it live for your friends and family
• Write a book, together! Decide on a common theme and location and have each person get their own character and chapter.  Once each chapter is written-take turns to read aloud.
• Have a Topchef competition at home!  Have the kids pick our their recipe and let them get a little creative!
• Start a book chain swap!  Have all participants "pick" a name and the name you pick will gift that person their favorite book from 2020.
• Make some holiday crafts!  paper angels; Christmas crafts; Jewish crafts
• Plan a getaway for 2020!  Take the time to plan a vacation that can be taken as soon as its safe to travel again.
• Plan a Spa Day!  An at home spa day is what the quarantine is missing.  Here are some DYI face mask options
• Make a gratitude list to end the year!  Sit down with your children and write down all the things that you are grateful for.  
• Create some magic with DIY science experiments!
• Have a family slumber party in a holiday fort!  Grab some books or enjoy a holiday favorite while slumbering in the living room.
• Take a holiday family photo yourself.  Set the timer and get creative with Santa hats and elf costumes.  Get friends involved and see who can be the most creative.

2021 is soon approaching, remember 1/1/2021 is the first blank page of a 365 page book.  Write a good one.
