Claims Representative

Job Description:
The Insurance Agency Claims Representative will serve as the primary liaison between insurance companies and clients, overseeing the entire claims process from notification to resolution. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of claims.

Responsibilities:

• Report claims notifications with carriers and/or brokers.
• Direct contact and liaison between the client and the carrier throughout the claim process
• Handle claims processing in a timely manner and in compliance with agency standards.
• Monitor the status of claims and address any issues or delays that arise
• Assess claims by reviewing reports, determining liability, and working with the appropriate parties (e.g., carriers, fault parties) to ensure coverage.
• Prepare and provide detailed claims history reports to clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all claims activities and communications in the AMS system.
• Manage third-party claim reporting and follow-up to ensure proper handling.

Requirements:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills to manage inquiries and resolve issues effectively
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to analyze information, assess claims, and make informed decisions.
• English fluency required; Spanish-speaking skills a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

OPEN POSITION:
Personal Line Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities:

• Interacting with clients assisting with their insurance needs including policy inquiries, policy changes, coverage explanations, and claims assistance.
  
• Manage insurance policies for individual clients, ensuring that policies are accurate, up-to-date, and meet the client's needs. This includes issuing new policies, renewing existing ones, and adjusting as necessary.
  
• Provide quotes explaining coverage options, premiums, and policy details to help clients make informed decisions about their insurance needs.
  
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products or coverage options to existing clients based on their needs and circumstances
  
• Responding to billing and payment processing inquires and completing required reports and documentations
  
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policy changes, claims activity, and other relevant information in the agency’s database and software systems.
  
• Any other service-related item

Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic office equipment, Microsoft Office: Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, & AMS360
• Must maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Knowledge and understanding of personal lines insurance carrier guidelines, lines of business, coverages and terms
• Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up
• Exceptional communication skills verbally and written
• Personal Lines experience-at least 2 years
• Work closely with insurance agents, underwriters, and other team members to provide comprehensive support to clients and ensure smooth operations within the agency.
